Triazole fungicides have witnessed fast development in China in recent years and have been playing an increasingly important role in disease control for various crops planting, ranking first by market value in all categories of fungicides in 2012. It is expected that both its output and domestic demand will continue to see stable growth in the next five years, and it is certain that the flourishing triazole fungicide industry will drive the development of the whole fungicide industry and promote the upgrading of fungicide products in China.
The increasing market potential of triazole fungicides mainly comes from two factors. On one hand, the application rate of most triazole fungicides on grain crops (wheat, corn, rice, etc.) is expected to continue to see stable increase, with more attention being paid by the formulation companies. On the other, the control range of some new ones such as epoxiconazole will be enlarged in the future—to more and more economic crops. The growth of domestic demand for some current large triazole fungicides except triadimefon, will slow down in the next five years, while some new ones are expected to witness high demand growth at the same time.
CCM launched the second edition report Survey of Triazole Fungicides in China which has carried out detailed study of ten major triazole fungicides, including supply and demand situation by volume & value in China during 2008–2012, technical and formulation prices, export analysis, commercial opportunities and forecast on the supply & demand of China’s triazole fungicides during 2013–2017, and identification of key factors influencing the development of this industry.
